The Minnesota City Fire Department was established in 1948 to protect Minnesota City and surrounding areas in Rollingstone Township and Hillside Township. Currently, the fire department also provides mutual aid to other fire departments through the Tri-County Fire Department Association. The Fire Department is located on Mill St. attached to the City Hall. The Minnesota City Fire Department works with the Minnesota First Responders. The Minnesota City Fire Department took part in the Bridge Dedication held on August 19, 2009, in Minnesota City. The Minnesota City Fire Department holds its annual Chicken-Q on the last Saturday in April every year. The fire department is always looking for new members.
